Eating out in Kuala Lumpur is always a gastronomical adventure.  The selections are diverse and endless.  The dining scene in Kuala Lumpur takes on two extreme; there’s the no fuss, down to earth, simple and delicious hawker fare and on the other end the sophisticated fusion and international dining.  Kuala Lumpur is indeed a melting pot of culinary delights. The culinary traditions of Malays, Chinese and Indians as well as other communities make the city a paradise for food lovers.

That said, KL-lites favourite pastime is still sitting down at the ‘mamak’ stalls and the many open air dining courts and roadside stalls to eat, gossip, unwind and just plain ‘lepak’ (relax).  These eateries open at any hours of the day or night.  For a novel eating experience try the array of tempting local fare at the many open –air food courts or road side stalls.  We have listed this under ‘Others’.

This guide provides you with a selection of the places that we recommend you to try irrespective of whether you are a visitor, a tourists or an expatriate.
